Installation 5

2008 has been a pretty amazing year. And just when I thought it was all over, the good folks over at Scion gave me a call to inform me that my collaborative video with Dave Choe has been picked-up for the Scion Installation 5 art tour. A nine-stop touring art exhibition. The Detroit premiere already happened, buy you can check out scion.com/installation for future tour dates. I know, my name isn't listed on the website, but I have been assured that the video will be shown as part of the exhibition.

In the meanwhile, I'm getting shipped over to the insane super Miami Art Fair craziness in the first weekend of December. If you think that the whole Miami art fair thing has gotten rediculously over-hyped, I couldn't agree more, but you had better believe I'll take a free trip (hotel included) to celebrate with my contemporaries in Miami Beach.

If you are in Miami on December 5th, RSVP online for the Scion ho-down. It should be a pretty good party. Any friends should hit me up so we can get some food and laugh at all the money being flushed down the toilet by these galleries.

Check my name on the flyer. Crud-ow!

Double Exposure

Here are some images from the recent work that was on exhibit as part of the Double Exposure group show at Blankspace gallery in Oakland. All six pieces sold, so I feel pretty good about the whole thing. Each large piece was 10" x 10" framed, with the little guys at about 5.5" x 5.5". You can open the images in a new window for a slightly larger size view.

Look at all those red dots.

Big Thanks to Kerri and Jason at Blankspace for organizing and hanging the exhibition. Thanks to the Junk Store for the constant influx of junk I can use. Thanks to Narangkar for lighting a fire under my ass to put something significant forward for this show. And big, big Thanks for the Support to those who bought the artwork. Happy Thanksgiving.
