was a short lived, yet hard hitting punk/hardcore combo in Oakland in 1996-97.
This track is called "Hardcore"
and is one of only 3 songs ever recorded. Recorded on 4-track at the old
Soundwave Studios in Oakland in 1996. True ID featured John and Ben Stanley
on drums and guitar, and Mad Mike on vocals. We got to play some great gigs
with some legendary hardcore bands, like the Sacto Hoods, 25 ta Life, Crown
of Thornz, Redmption 87, I Madman, Rely, All Bets Off, and Powerhouse. In
our short time together, we got to gig at spots like the Berkeley Square,
the Cocodrie, the Sacto Cat House, Gilman St., and Big Ern's Bomb Shelter.
It was a great time and I'm so thankful I have at least a few songs to remember
